About HoopGuess
HoopGuess is a free NBA player guessing game — pick a mystery NBA player from clues on team, conference, division, position, height, age and jersey number, in the style of Wordle.
What HoopGuess is
HoopGuess has two ways to play: a daily puzzle that everyone shares, and an unlimited mode with a fresh random player every round and no daily cap. Both use the same seven-clue guessing format so you can practice in unlimited and take what you learn into the daily game.
How it's built
HoopGuess is a small, independently built site with no account system and no tracking beyond basic, privacy-respecting site analytics. Player rosters and stats are refreshed each season so the answers stay accurate as trades and rookies come in.
Not affiliated with the NBA
HoopGuess is an unofficial fan project. Player names, team names and public stats are used nominatively to describe the game.
