Hoop Rush is HoopGuess’s original one-button basketball shooting game. Tap to lift the ball, then stop tapping so it falls through the hoop. Play free in your browser on a phone, tablet or desktop, with no account or download.

How to play Hoop Rush

Tap the court, click it, or press Space to bounce. Your first basket has no time limit. In Endless, every basket starts a fresh shot clock. Missing does not end the run: the ball can wrap around the screen for another attempt, but time keeps passing. Press P or use Pause to take a break.

Scoring and difficulty

A basket earns 1 point. Clean baskets build a streak and earn 2, 3, 4 points and onward. Your first clean basket leaves smoke; the second lights the ball on fire. A hit from above the front rim marks the shot for 1 second: scoring during that window earns 1 point and resets the streak. Landing and wrapping around the screen keep your streak.

In Endless, each basket starts a fresh clock: 4.5 seconds below 40 points, 3.5 seconds from 40 to 59, and 3 seconds from 60 onward. Hoops alternate sides at different heights and stay still while you shoot. At the buzzer, scoring stops immediately; a short slow-motion finish closes the run.

Practice your shooting rhythm

Practice uses the same ball controls with stationary hoops and no timer. Switch modes between runs or while paused; switching starts a new run. Your best scores are saved separately for each mode in this browser. Try lifting the ball early, then leaving enough room for it to fall into the hoop.
