Three NBA players stand at 7'3" on 2026-27 rosters, making it one of the rarest heights in the league. All three are centers, spread one apiece across the Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Oklahoma City Thunder.
The group skews young, with ages running from 20 to 24 and an average age of 21.7. That combination of extreme height and youth makes this a notably compact and early-career set of players.
Think you'd know these players from their team, height, age and jersey number alone?

All Centers, All on Different Teams
Every player at 7'3" this season lines up at center — no forwards or guards appear at this height. Zach Edey (#14) suits up for Memphis, Rocco Zikarsky (#44) for Minnesota, and Aday Mara (#15) for Oklahoma City. Each team carries exactly one player at this height, so the position is thinly but evenly distributed across the league.
Ages and Birthplaces in the Group
Zach Edey is the oldest at 24, born Mar 14, 2002, in Toronto, ON. Aday Mara, born Apr 7, 2005, in Zaragoza, Spain, is 21. Rocco Zikarsky is the youngest at 20, born Jul 11, 2006. Of the 3 players, 2 have listed birthplaces — one born in Canada, one born in Spain.
On the college side, Edey attended Purdue and Mara attended Michigan. Zikarsky has no college listed, suggesting he came to the NBA directly from another path.
How 7'3" Sits in the Broader League
At 87 inches, 7'3" sits well above the league's typical center height, let alone the overall roster average. Players at this measurement are rare in any era, and the current group of 3 reflects just how seldom the NBA carries more than a handful of players at this height at one time.
