Guess the NBA Player — Unlimited
One a day not enough? Unlimited mode gives you a brand-new mystery NBA player every single round — guess, solve, and hit play again as many times as you want.
Looking for a Poeltl unlimited alternative?
If you already play the NBPA's Poeltl game and wished it didn't stop after one round a day, this is built for you. HoopGuess Unlimited is a free, independent NBA player guessing game with the same team / conference / division / position / height / age / jersey clue format — but with no once-a-day cooldown and no login. It's not affiliated with or endorsed by Poeltl, the NBA, or the NBPA; it's just the same style of game with an always-on unlimited mode.
Endless play
The daily game is great for a quick streak, but unlimited is where you actually get better. Drill different players, test opening guesses, and learn the league's heights, ages and jersey numbers — with no waiting until tomorrow.
How to play
- Type a current NBA player and select them.
- Read the colored clues: green = exact match, yellow = close, grey = off.
- Follow the ▲ / ▼ arrows on height, age and jersey number.
- Get it in 8 guesses, then press play again for a new player.
How the clues work
Team, conference, division and position only turn green on an exact match. Height, age and jersey number are more forgiving: they turn yellow when your guess is within a couple of units of the answer, with an arrow showing whether the real answer is higher or lower. Lean on those arrows to binary-search toward the answer instead of guessing blind.
Tips
A strong, repeatable opener narrows the field fast — pick a mid-sized wing around the league-average height and age. Use conference and division to cut teams, then let the arrows binary-search the numbers. Watch out for near-identical names (Jalen / Jaylen / Jaylin and shared last names) in the autocomplete — a mis-picked guess still costs you a turn. The more you play unlimited, the faster you'll recognize players from just a few clues.
